My Weight Loss Vlog

I finally finished my video blog!!!

This was one of the hardest posts that I have done.
I try not to look at pictures of myself when I was overweight.
They bring back a whole lot of insecurities for me...
And it has taken me FOREVER to see myself as something other than the girl in these pictures.

But someone recently told me I have to "own it" (thanks Kim!).

So...

Here it is...

I know it is a little rough...with the chair squeaking and blurry focus...

But I'll get better:)

Thank you for watching!

Jessie

  1. Cool video! It was neat being able to see you. Do you have a YouTube Channel? I am really with you in regards to eatting whole foods (although I do bake!). Quality of the food matters and unfortunately these days it is either expensive or difficult to find food that is no genetically modified or chemically laden in some form.

  2. Thanks, Kelly! I do have a youtube channel...optimalsaxtons...my name was already taken:( So I decided to use my Shaklee business name:) I just subscribed to your channel. Your videos are WAY better than mine..haha! I don't have a video cam, so I used my webcam on my laptop. I am still trying to figure out the editing software:)
    Have a great week:)

  3. Thanks so much for sharing Jessie! I lost 50 lbs when I was in high school, so I know what you went through. However, after so many surgeries and not being able to be as active as I used to be, some of the weight has crept back on. I struggle with it every day. I just don't have the will to be so restrictive anymore. I do try to eat as many whole foods as I can, but I can't seem to stay away from the sweets. I do have to say that you look beautiful, then and now!

  4. Thanks, Dianne! I have a ginormous sweet tooth also;) It is really hard to cut them out entirely. I, like you, love to bake. I have really been concentrating the past few months on cutting way back, and finding alternatives to sugar (Stevia in the Raw, agave and raw honey). The best thing I have found is Cinch soy protein shakes. They are sweet, but low glycemic, and keep me full. I have been mixing up smoothies and frappes with them.

I found your story about your yearly cancer checks inspiring. I am glad that your husband is so supportive! I remember you saying that he has MS...so does my mom. That can be challenging as well. I can not imagine what you go through. I keep you in my prayers:)
