Baking Up a Storm

After my mini meltdown a few days ago, I decided to kick myself in the butt and dive back into life.

Here are a few of my baking projects:

Totally yummy chocolate chip cookies. These babies are HUGE!!

I had to try out a recipe for chocolate whipped cream frosting. It is an awesome topper for rich chocolate cupcakes!

If you watch any of the numerous cupcake themed shows on television, I'm sure you've noticed the key lime coconut cupcake trend. I scoured the internet looking for the perfect recipe, and ended up combining three.

And finally...

My FIRST official birthday cake order for Seriously Sweet! I am stoked!!

Have a happy weekend!

  2. Everything looks delicious! I could just devour one of those cookies right now. If you are interested, I came up with a key lime coconut cupcake recipe of my own last year. I think it's pretty darn good, if I do say so myself! Here's the link: http://allrecipes.com/PersonalRecipe/62433007/Key-Lime-Coconut-Cupcakes/Detail.aspx
I submitted the recipe, but so far it's still in review....sigh.....
What a lucky 2-year old to get that cake for his birthday!

  3. Dianne's Key Lime Cupcake recipe rocks! I honestly can't even tell you how many times I have made that recipe by now, but it has been many times. Is that a blue cupcake courier that I see? How do you like it? I am also a fan of big cookies! I think those will sell well if you decide to move forward with your baking desires. I found people love large cookies!

  5. Kelly-I LOVE the courier! It keeps the cupcakes so moist. I even use it for cakes.

  7. Did you see the cookie trays they make for the Cupcake Couriers? They cover the cupcake holes you can can put cookies, brownies, etc. in it too. I don't have the cookie trays yet so I improvised and covered a piece of cardboard I cut to fit with some silver foil wrapping paper.
