A Little Sugar

I just realized that I haven't blogged about my business in quite a while!

It has been a tad slow since the first initial rush of orders...

But recently things have picked up ☺

Here are a few of my faves.

(and if you are new to my blog, or just stopping by, you can catch up here and here)

I am having a blast with this!
(sometimes I get a little stressed when the kids are screaming and the dog is barking and my icing is melting...but other than that, a blast)

It just goes to show that everyone of us has some undiscovered skill.

Two years ago I didn't have a clue how to bake a cake from scratch...

And I was an awful cake decorator...

With a little determination the possibilities are endless.

Happy Monday!

Jessie

  3. Hi Jesse! I am back! :) Thank you for your sweet comments. The gray that I have on the hutch is called Wood Smoke from Glidden. I also have Smooth Stone on the trim in the hallway and family room. Both are really nice grays. I hope you find one that you like and I am so glad that your daughter is feeling better!

  4. Your cakes are beautiful - how do you do the chocolate pour - or what looks like a chocolate pour over the other icing in the first and third pics? That looks amazing!

  5. Lisa-I pour slightly cooled ganache over the top of them, or use a chocolate glaze.

  7. I love your dress and cakes! You are doing such an amazing job! Are you selling to people around you by word of mouth? I have a lady in my area that has made two orders with me this month, my first real business. Keep sharing with us!

  8. Thank you for the compliments everyone! I am sincerely flattered:)

Kelly-Most of my business is by word of mouth. I do have a few business cards up in some local businesses, and I am working on a flyer. Actually, our church has been where I have gotten a great deal of my orders.

That is awesome that you have sold a few goodies!!! Your baked goods always looks so beautiful☺
